I wanted to give a proper shout out to Miss Dirty Birdy at http://www.youtube.com/user/dirdybirdy101 and http://www.youtube.com/user/MissDirdyBirdy (I think the first is more practice/routines and the second is more tutorials). I keep a link on the blog’s home page, but it’s worth its own post! She also has a facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DirdyBirdyPage if you want to follow that.
What’s so unique is that she does the move at regular speed then slow-mo’s it with written instruction so you can really see what’s going on. You can’t always gather that on your own from watching performances.
Here’s an interesting video she has up that shows her and some of her students. What’s nice is you rarely get to see “regular” people and an “expert” side by side. I can see a few things that make me say “oh, if I would just do this then it would be more fluid” or whatever.
